Who we are
Sidra Durst, Principal
Sidra is co-founder of the Museum of Food and Drink, an interactive museum New York that uses taste and smell as a tool to engage visitors on otherwise daunting topics like chemistry, history, and commerce.
Prior to that, she helped launch a pop-up restaurant in Havana, pairing some of New York's top chefs with Cuba's first restaurateurs/chefs. She co-founded a business incubator for Brooklyn's burgeoning community of small food producers, and launched a pop-up shop representing over a dozen different makers while providing business development support.
While at Time Inc.'s entrepreneurial monthly, Business 2.0, she covered emerging technologies and venture capital with a focus on sustainable food production, and interviewed Silicon Valley luminaries from Reid Hofmann to Peter Thiel. She has written about design, fashion, food and music for publications like the Village Voice, NYLON, and Daily Candy.
She has a B.A. in Community Health from Brown University. She is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
